This Art Gallery and Workshop teaches the Bob Ross style oil painting. The teachers are great, friendly and very helpful. You can tell they love painting. You can take the week-long certification classes or 2-3 hour classes. All classes are suitable for people with no painting experience. They teach landscape painting, as Bob Ross did, floral painting and wildlife painting. Students come from around the country. They have paintings by Bob Ross on the wall that will give you goosebumps. Bob's paintings are even more impressive in person. There are a couple paintings by Steve Ross, his son, as well. 20 years after Bob is no longer with us, this place is keeping his tradition alive. I was there for a week long class and I loved it. I am going back for another two weeks.
It was the most awesome experience I ever had . The instructors were outstanding and very patient. I would definitely recommend classes for the interested. I would like to go back and take the wildlife and floral in the future. I have possible convinced a friend to come with me. Thank you Doug and Eddie for a wonderful experience!!.
The workshop is the only place that certifies people to teach the Bob Ross style and they have very strict standards they must adhere to guarantee they are promoting the Bob Ross brand. Many people who take the three-week certification classes just want to master the technique though, so you are not required to become a teacher. If you want to learn oil painting in the Bob Ross style, this is the original source.
I'm a huge, huge Bob Ross fan and I came to just see some of his original work. There are 40 of his paintings from the show on display in the workshop.
Excellent and patient instructors. A great atmosphere. Was there for first week of instruction for instructors. Very intense.
A must go for any Tourist or Local. They have over 40 Original Bob Ross paintings that you must see to believe! They are very welcoming & friendly! Have classes all the time that you can sign up for! Bob Ross originally started the store and lived & painted in the area! I used to think it was a chain till I went it, It's not! It's the only one!!!
