We feel that the quality of food, the portion size and the cleanliness of the restaurant has gone down in the past few years.
i have always enjoyed this location over the deland one. The food is always good and I never have a problem with the staff.
When we first started going the place wasn't super popular and it was better, but as the tourists have found it, it's gotten worse.
We probably won't be going back to this restaurant, we used to love it, but now it's just not worth the money.
This is a wonderful Mexican "true" restaurant! Great food, excellent service, large portions, and reasonable prices! We will drive the extra distance just to eat here.
By the way the smell next to the bathrooms is disgusting and the bathrooms are pretty disgusting... Hot, damp, and not clean. After going to the bathroom I didn't really enjoy going back to sit down and eat, feeling as if I brought a lot of the bathroom with me...ugh.
We had shrimp tacos, soft shell, which were actually pretty good, but the cost for 3 was $12 with tax and there were probably three and a half medium sized shrimp total... It was a serious rip off and I did not enjoy paying my bill.
I've been thinking about this review for a couple of days and I absolutely would not go back to Mi Mexico. I'm sure that some people think it's fine but we have access to really good Mexican food and this isn't it.
Really good Mexican food. I loved the mozzarella enchiladas, nice change of pace. Salsa was great as well.
Go to Taco Shack instead. You will spend less and get much, much better quality food.
I used to love this place. I had moved away and came back and was shocked! The place literally stinks like body odor. The place was filthy! The food terrible! To top it all off, 10 to 12 minutes after we were served our entrees the waiter decided to bring my frozen guava drink after ignoring me and disappearing. like really dude? Check please! and there was no apology nothing. He snatched the drink up when I suggested I didn't want it when we were finished with our dinning. Don't waste your time or $$$$
And please note that we've eaten at this restaurant many, many times, over many years and this isn't a review from someone who got mad at some issue at the restaurant and just wants to trash the place.
On our last visit, we were especially disappointed in the guacamole and even the rice and beans.
