Currently under renovation. They have completed the new fishing pier, and are in the process of replacing the boardwalk with composite decking. It is going to be really nice when it is finished. Go early to get in because a portion of the parking lot is closed due to construction.
Love this park. It is different every day! There is a mile and a half walk way and dogs are allowed (on leash and its monitired) on the boardwalk before 10:00. After 10:00 there is a path they can use. There are washrooms by the parking lot and a picnic table or two. Love this piece of heaven. No cars on this beach. Often see fishermen on the pier, dolphins, and walkers.busier on weekends. Great view of Ponce Inlet and the light house so take your camera. Parking is NOT free!!!
Great park. Looking forward to the completion of the new boardwalk. It seems about 2/3rds complete. You can walk on the beach where the boardwalk is not finished. Enjoy it.
Nice park. So glad they allow dogs, one of the few. It is a pretty long walk to the bigger beach but overall it was good and we had fun.
Beautiful place to walk in the morning. Started out on old wooden boardwalk South to beach. Then walked to jetty. Enjoyed view of surfers, sea kayakers and paddle surfers. Walked along inlet till I got to new boardwalk made of recycled material--easier on the tootsies. Circuit took almost an hour to complete. Glad to see restrooms by parking lot. Will definitely go again.
